    Job Title: Controls Engineer

    Job Description

    Controls Engineer position responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and electrical engineering functions. The role supports the design and application of all pumping controls-related accessories, involving engineering duties such as calculations, CAD drafting, testing, and other technical functions.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform calculations and CAD drafting for design purposes.

    + Support the design and application of pumping controls accessories.

    + Design control panels including layout and general arrangements.

    + Work with analog sensors and provide sales support.

    + Engage in continuous process improvement.

    + Program PLCs for effective control systems.

    + Document processes effectively.

    + Conduct testing and other technical functions.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD for plan changes.

    + Understanding of UL 508 certification requirements.

    + Experience in control panel design and analog sensors.

    + Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering discipline, or an associate degree in electrical engineering with 3 years’ experience, or 10 years’ experience as an Electrical Controls Designer.

    + Three to five years of experience in a technical manufacturing or similar environment.

    + Proficiency in mechanical and electrical component design and application.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Familiarity with centrifugal pumps is a plus.

    + Ability to use MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.

    + Productivity with minimal supervision.

    + Quick learning capability and ability to advance skills.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Good communication and teamwork skills.

    Work Environment

    This role requires working onsite with 10%-15% travel to customers. The work involves using various software tools and participating in a collaborative team environment.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Old Saybrook, CT.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
