How You’ll Work:
+ **Location** : 7310 Innovation Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46818
+ **Hours** : Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 5:30 pm)
+ **Compensation** : This pay scale represents a good faith estimate of the salary wage range the company reasonably expects to pay upon hire for this position: $48,635 to $51,000 per year. A final offer amount will depend on factors such as prior relevant experience, skills, and location
+ **Benefits** : Comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision coverage; prescription drug and telemedicine services; company-paid life and disability insurance; retirement savings with company match; paid time off, holidays, and parental leave; plus additional voluntary benefits and employee discounts.
+ **Additional Compensation** : Total compensation may also include other forms of pay such as overtime or discretionary incentives, as applicable.
About the Role:
The Account Manager builds and manages customer relationships to grow volume and margin across key van, flatbed, and power-only lanes. This role combines new business development with account management responsibilities to drive revenue and provide best-in-class freight solutions. Customer service professionals are responsible for managing inquiries, complaints, and feedback from customer accounts. The focus is on building positive relationships and providing quality service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ **Customer and Business Growth** : Build and manage a portfolio of shippers, uncover new lane opportunities, and grow gross margin through strategic partnerships
+ **Sales and Prospecting** : Identify and pursue new business opportunities via cold calls, referrals, and CRM tools
+ **Negotiation and Pricing** : Negotiate pricing with shippers and carriers, manage contracts, and ensure profitable margins
+ **Pipeline Management** : Forecast pipeline, track key performance indicators, and proactively manage account performance
+ **Execution and Coordination** : Partner with agents and internal operations teams to ensure successful freight execution
+ **Customer Communication** : Serve as the first point of contact for assigned customers and respond to inquiries promptly
+ **Coverage and Collaboration** : Provide backup coverage for peers’ accounts as needed and ensure seamless internal communication
+ **Accountability and Reliability** : Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs
Requirements:
+ **Education** : High school diploma or GED
+ **Industry Knowledge** : Basic understanding of transportation or logistics operations, preferably in a brokerage or asset-light model
+ **Communication Skills** : Ability to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and manage internal and external communication in a fast-paced setting

+ **Brokerage Experience** : Experience in a transportation brokerage or third-party logistics environment
+ **Sales Skills** : Strong communication and negotiation skills with a competitive, team-oriented mindset
+ **Technology Proficiency** : Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word, Base Operating System(BOS) experience.
+ **Adaptability** : Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform in a fast-paced environment
