    Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description

     

    Join a dynamic machine shop located in the Port of Tacoma, specializing in the manufacturing of a variety of products including clips, joiner doors, pallets, and large carts. We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist, with precision machining experience, to help contribute to our growing organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working with jigs, fixtures, and automating processes, as well as the ability to set up complex machinery to produce high-quality parts.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate machine tools to make precision metal parts.

    + Use measuring instruments and precision tools to fabricate metal parts.

    + Work from drawings or other instructions to create metal parts.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 3-5 years of CNC Mill experience.

    + Experience with 3 & 4 axis machining.

    + Proficiency in G & M codes and blueprint reading.

    + Working knowledge of Okuma controls.

    + Ability to create simple programs at the machine.

    + Good attendance and a proactive attitude.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Own tools are preferred.

    + Experience in manual machining is beneficial.

    + Lathe experience is a plus.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is a large machine shop that can be loud, cold in the winter, and hot in the summer. Day shift is available from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The shop is equipped with advanced technology and requires adherence to safety protocols due to its dynamic and sometimes dirty conditions.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
