Job Title: Data Center Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician with strong skills in fiber optics and structured cabling. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in commercial data center environments, with the ability to terminate jacks and RJ45 connectors and accurately distinguish color codes.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling.

+ Perform hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

+ Collaborate with team members and follow project timelines.

+ Work in confined spaces and at heights (up to 20 feet).

+ Lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. frequently.

+ Maintain regular and on-time attendance.

Physical Requirements

+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, and reach regularly.

+ Comfortable carrying and climbing ladders up to 20 feet.

+ Willingness to work in tight spaces and versatile environments.

Requirements

+ Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial data center environments.

+ Fiber optic experience preferred.

+ Basic commercial cabling experience (RJ45 termination).

+ Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ashburn, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
