Job Title: Cable Technician

Pay Range:

+ Level 1: $20–$21/hr (based on experience)

+ Level 2: $22–$26/hr (based on experience)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Cable Technicians to assist with pulling cable and terminating keystone-style jacks at a large commercial construction site.

Responsibilities include:

+ Pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5/6 and fiber optic cables

+ Installing cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc.)

+ Installing network racks and cabinets in server rooms

+ Reviewing job documentation, including:

+ Floor plans (equipment locations)

+ Reflected ceiling plans

+ Conduit call-outs

+ Wall elevations

+ Signal flow diagrams

+ Cable pull schedules

Physical Requirements

+ Regular standing, climbing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, and stooping

+ Frequent use of hands for handling tools and typing

+ Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally

+ Vision requirements: close, distance, depth perception, and focus adjustment

+ Comfortable using power tools

Required Skills

+ Cable pulling and termination

+ Structured cabling

+ Punchdown experience

+ Familiarity with Cat5/6 and fiber optic cabling

Additional Qualifications

Candidates should have:

+ Positive attitude and strong communication skills

+ PPE required before starting:

+ Hard hat with chin strap

+ Safety glasses

+ Steel-toed shoes

+ Safety vest

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Claude, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
