    Telemetry Monitor Technician (Full Time / Nights)

    Work location: Texas Health Rockwall, 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

     

    Work hours: Full Time, 36 hours weekly, Nights, 6p-6a, Days worked are variable based on requested shifts.

    Here's What You Need

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent required

    + 1 year of telemetry monitoring experience strongly preferred

    + Basic understanding/ability to learn medical terminology

    What You Will Do:

    + Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.

    + Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.

    + Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.

    + Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.

    + Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly. Prepares monitor for next patient admission.

    + Notifies patient's primary RN promptly of any changes in patient's monitor view.

    + Communicates promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance to co-workers, nurses, and physicians/providers.

    + Serves as a patient advocate.

    + Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.

    + Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers, and all other disciplines.
