Position Summary

We are seeking a certified Phlebotomist to join our team in a correctional healthcare setting in Boston, MA. This role is essential for specimen collection and laboratory coordination while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

+ Collect and process blood and other specimens; ensure proper labeling and documentation.

+ Coordinate specimen transportation and processing with laboratory vendors.

+ Maintain phlebotomy area cleanliness and stock supplies.

+ Perform daily sharps counts and log totals.

+ Monitor and document refrigerator temperatures.

+ Follow all laboratory, infection control, and security protocols.

+ Order and manage lab supplies and maintain inventory.

+ Document lab results and ensure provider sign-off.

+ Comply with state and federal regulations and facility guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

+ Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

+ Certification: Phlebotomist Certification required.

+ Experience: Minimum 6 months of prior phlebotomy experience.

+ Must pass facility background clearance.
