    WHY JOIN BALLARD MARINE CONSTRUCTION?

Ballard Marine Construction is not for everyone, and we like it that way.

We take on the work others won’t. Complex, high-risk, technically demanding marine and underwater projects across North America. The kind of work where there is no playbook, no shortcuts, and no room for excuses.

At Ballard, you’ll work alongside people who care deeply about what they do and who they do it with. Accountability isn’t a buzzword here, it’s the standard. From interns to executives, everyone owns outcomes, tells the truth, and pushes for better. Every single day.

This is a place for competitors. For builders of relationships. For people who want to win, learn, and grow fast. You will be trusted with real responsibility, expected to perform at a high level, and given the support to do the best work of your career.

Do you want to be part of something exceptional and work with a team that values grit, loyalty, excellence, and results? Read on!

    Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative at Ballard Marine Construction is a front-line growth role for a competitive, relationship-driven professional, reporting to the Executive Vice President of Business Development. You will build strategic client relationships, identify new opportunities, and help position Ballard to win complex marine construction work across North America. Working directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll take ownership of markets, open doors, and drive pursuits from first contact through execution. This job is not a sales position, or just a support role. It’s an opportunity for someone who wants visibility, responsibility, and a clear path to grow inside a high-performing organization.

    • Driven and Competitive - We love competition. We love to win and love to learn when we lose. Not getting the job done is not an option. We are obsessed to do our best and we do what it takes to win.

    • Trustworthy and Respectful - We are passionate about honesty, authenticity and transparency. No lies. No drama. No politics. We value constructive conflict and ensure that even in conflict we treat others with respect.

    • Ownership and Accountability - When something goes wrong, we first “look in the mirror” before we “look out the window”. We ask “what could I have done differently?” and then we share lessons learned. Regularly challenging ourselves and those around us to be better is a way of life. “Me first” belongs here.
