    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Director of Data Platforms and Engineering to join one of their clients. You will be responsible for being a strategic leader, driving the design and delivery of modern data platform and integration solutions for clients across diverse industries. This role sets the vision, architecture, and execution for advanced data ecosystems, leveraging technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and Informatica. Leading global teams of engineers and solution architects, you will work closely with clients to align data strategies with business objectives, ensuring scalable, secure, and innovative solutions through hands-on leadership and strategic guidance. The core responsibilities include shaping strategic roadmaps and service offerings for the data platform practice, defining and implementing a global data engineering strategy, overseeing the development and management of enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, Lakehouse, data mesh, and real-time streaming and assessing emerging technologies to recommend adoption that strengthens enterprise capabilities.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 15+ years in data engineering or integration roles, with 7+ years in senior leadership.

    • Proven experience managing large, distributed teams and enterprise-scale data platforms.

    • Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, dbt, Fivetran, Kafka, Airflow).

    • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance. • Experience in consulting or professional services environments.

    • Experience with AI/ML integration, LLMs, and real-time analytics.

    • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

    • Experience in solutions architecture and technical domains such as MLOps, ML training/inference, and multimodal ML.

    • Proficiency in Python, R, Java, and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn.
