    A client of Insight Global is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of campus facilities and residents. This role involves conducting thorough security checks and inspections of all buildings, monitoring security cameras, and engaging positively with young adults. Responsibilities include performing searches of luggage, bags, and individuals, operating walk-through metal detectors and handheld wands, and utilizing a scan system to verify area checks by physically confirming each scan point. The Security Officer will also assist with occasional transportation needs, report to the shift lead, and maintain accurate documentation. Collaboration with Residential Advisors is essential, as you may be required to monitor dorms when staffing is limited. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment. 32k

    Skills and Requirements

    Must Haves:

    • 2+ years of security experience

    • Working with two other guards on 2nd shift

    Active drivers license, vehicle to get around Plusses:

    • CPR Certified

     

    OSHA certifications or courses
