As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This position requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for driving between patrol areas. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.

+ Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns according to company and location guidelines.

+ Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while upholding site-specific requirements.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to those at the location.

+ Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

+ Operate communication devices and security-related equipment as required for the post.

Minimum Requirements:

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Applicants must provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.

+ Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
