Description
Amazon internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as class or other employment during the Amazon workday.
We are seeking a Business Affairs Intern to support our dynamic team in developing and executing entertainment agreements. This position offers comprehensive exposure to entertainment law, deal structuring, and the business fundamentals that drive content creation at a major studio.
Impact & Opportunity
This position provides direct exposure to entertainment deal-making at an industry-leading studio. You will gain practical experience in contract analysis, deal structuring, and the business dynamics that drive content creation while contributing to projects that reach global audiences.
Key job responsibilities
Deal Structure & Analysis • Support development and review of talent agreements • Analyze and synthesize complex contractual terms • Validate budget and credit alignment with above-the-line deals • Develop and maintain comprehensive analytics and deal term databases
Strategic Operations • Research industry standards and precedent deals • Generate market insights for negotiation strategy • Evaluate opportunities for process optimization through AI integration • Monitor and analyze deal patterns across projects
Professional Development • Gain practical experience in entertainment law • Observe high-level deal negotiations • Develop understanding of production finance • Build cross-functional relationships
About the team
The Movies Business Affairs team is integral to Amazon MGM Studios' content development and production strategy. We collaborate with creative executives, production teams, legal counsel, and finance to structure and execute agreements that drive our studio's ambitious slate. Our team combines strategic business acumen with industry expertise to support both creative vision and commercial success.

Basic Qualifications
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
- Currently enrolled in JD and/or MBA program, graduating between December 2026 and June 2028
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling confidential information
- Concentration in Data Science, Entertainment Law, Business, or related fields
- Superior analytical and organizational capabilities
- Excellence in written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Adaptability in a dynamic environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,968/year in our lowest geographic market up to $82,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
