Medical Assistant
**Location:** South Los Angeles, CA
**Pay:** $23.50–$24.50/hr. (max $24.50)
**Duration:** 3+ Month Contract
This role is ideal for a Medical Assistant with experience in Endocrinology, Geriatric, or Primary Care. Training will be provided for Diabetic Retinal Screenings, so prior experience is a plus but not required.
What You’ll Do
+ Support patient flow: rooming, vitals, EMR charting, scheduling, and phones
+ Perform MA clinical duties: phlebotomy, immunizations, lab collection, assisting providers
+ Act as a Chronic Disease Coordinator for diabetes and hypertension patients
+ Conduct Diabetic Retinal Exams using a digital retinal camera (training provided)
+ Outreach to patients to close care gaps and schedule follow-ups
+ Support RN, Pharmacist, and Provider clinics
+ Collaborate with Quality Improvement and care teams
Schedule
Clinics are within 1 mile of each other
Monday - Friday: 8am–4:30pm
Requirements
+ Medical Assistant Certificate and/or MA experience
+ CPR/BLS Certification
+ Comfortable with EMR systems and basic clerical tasks
+ Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards

**Pay Details:** $23.50 to $24.50 per hour
