Now Hiring: Travel Pharmacy Technician

Schedule: Day shift | 7a – 330p & possible shift 11a – 730p | every 2nd to 3rd weekend with shift of 7a – 330p

Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintains proficiency in all areas of the Department of Pharmacy Services within the scope of a pharmacy technician job responsibility

+ Prepares medication in unit dose packaging and labels medications using repackaging software.

+ Performs routine rounds to patient care floors to deliver medication and miscellaneous supplies.

+ Assesses assigned medication storage areas for outdated medication, cleanliness, and appropriate stocking.

+ Fills automated dispensing machines using barcode technology.

+ Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to support the pharmacist in service of the needs of institutional patients.

+ Assist in all areas of the Pharmacy Department as time permits from scheduled assignments.

+ Performs required pharmaceutical dosage calculations necessary to prepare sterile and non-sterile preparations.

Qualifications:

+ Active MA state license

+ National certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required

+ Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required

+ American Heart BLS certification required

+ Minimum 1 year experience with compounding is preferred, but not required

Pay Breakdown:

+ $720 per week (taxable)

+ $434 weekly per diem (non-taxable)

**Pay Details:** $1,154.00 per week
