    Overview

     

    We are seeking an experience Machine Operator for our position in the SMT department. The role involves cutting sheets of film for the SMT Department using a machine that is pre-set for operation. The machine operator will place one sheet at a time, activate the machine to stamp cuts into the plastic, remove the sheet, inspect it, and then continue with the next sheet. While the job is fast-paced, maintaining quality is paramount. Over time, machine operators will be trained to operate a laser cutting machine for more intricate and complex cuts.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the pre-set machine to cut sheets of film.

    + Inspect each sheet after cutting to ensure quality.

    + Learn to operate the laser cutting machine for complex cuts.

    + Maintain a fast pace while prioritizing quality.

    + Assist in other areas of the plant as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years s of machine operating experience.

    + Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for 8-10 hours.

    + Flexible attitude for cross-training in different areas.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Die cutting or stamping experience is advantageous.

    + Experience in production or general labor is beneficial.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
