Description

A healthcare services organization in Vista is looking for a Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance in a regulated environment. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys precision, documentation, and supporting a mission-driven organization. You’ll work closely with accounting leadership to maintain accurate financial records and assist with reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

+ Perform monthly bank, AR, and AP reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation

+ Track and reconcile prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities

+ Support payroll and benefits-related accounting entries

+ Assist with audit requests and regulatory reporting

+ Maintain organized accounting documentation and schedules

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

+ 2–5 years of accounting experience

+ Experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries preferred

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting

+ Proficiency with accounting software and Excel

+ Ability to handle confidential financial information

+ Strong organizational and communication skills
