    Job Summary and Responsibilities

     

    We are seeking a proactive **Inventory Technician** to meticulously manage the flow of critical medical supplies and equipment throughout our hospital/facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all departments are optimally stocked to support seamless patient care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + **Comprehensive Inventory Management:** Execute all aspects of inventory, including picking, replenishing, requisitioning, shipping, and receiving, for both the central supply room and all hospital areas.

    + **Case & Supply Optimization:** Pull products accurately for cases as assigned. Systematically organize and maintain supply areas, optimizing par levels to meet dynamic department demands and prevent patient care disruptions.

    + **Automated System Proficiency:** Utilize an automated inventory control and par leveling system for efficient ordering, receiving, stocking, and restocking of medical supplies/equipment within the supply chain management scope.

    + **Stock Rotation & Accuracy:** Restock supplies daily, rotating inventory to ensure accuracy and generating orders/requisitions as needed.

    + **Cost Reduction & Efficiency:** Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs through par level manipulation, reorder point adjustments, and minimizing holding costs.

    + **Waste Reduction:** Identify excess inventory, process returns, and manage credits. Proactively notify supervisors of outdates or slow-moving items.

    + **Perpetual Inventory Management:** Participate in the put-away and validation processes for perpetual inventory items, issuing and crediting materials from the inventory management system.

    + **Orderliness & Labeling:** Maintain clean and organized stock locations, precisely label bins, and handle requests for par level adjustments.

    + **Liaison & Support:** Act as a critical liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management. Assist with product recalls by following buyer and Divisional Inventory Coordinator instructions.

    Job Requirements

    One (1) year supply chain related experience or other relevant experience

     

    Knowledge of the purpose, functionality and operation of automated ERP systems and processes (Lawson/Infor)

     

    Knowledge of the standards, practices, resources and tools applicable to inventory management, cost containment and purchasing/procurement

     

    Knowledge of general office principles, practices, systems and equipment.

     

    Knowledge of, or ability to learn, FH procedures for the acquisition, inventory and distribution of supplies/materials

     

    Ability to process and present data clearly

     

    Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, summarizing analysis in reports with minimal supervision.

     

    Ability to stay on task and meet deadlines

     

    Ability to keep abreast of, and comply with, internal standards and regulatory requirements regarding product recalls, product failures and returns of outdated materials.

     

    Ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.

     

    Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

     

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position

    $25.20 - $34.67 /hour
