Overview
LTC ACO partners with primary care groups across the country to improve outcomes, enhance care coordination, and drive success in the Medicare Shared Savings Program. We help long-term care providers deliver high quality, patient-centered care while achieving measurable improvements in clinical, financial, and operational performance.
As an Associate Coder/Auditor, the employee will train to become a Certified Professional Coder over the period of one year from their date of hire. As an incentive, when the employee completes each Success Metric they will be provided with a salary increase. There will be 6 Success Metrics, where the Associate will receive a salary increase for successful completion of each metric. Once the employee successfully completes the 6 Success Metrics, they will be promoted to Professional Certified Coding Specialist.
Responsibilities
The primary focus of the first two months is to absorb information, build foundational knowledge, and understand the company culture; continue course work outside of job responsibilities toward certification.
• Complete all mandatory training modules, including HR/Compliance Training, product or tool-specific training and time-reporting policies.
• Gain a solid understanding of the company mission, values and organizational structure.
• Build report with colleagues by scheduling one:one meetings with team members and attending team meetings.
• Familiarize yourself with job responsibilities by reviewing job description and role expectations.
Execute and optimize increased knowledge and gained experience in the current workflows, coding guidelines, and documentation requirements required for the position.
• Complete course work and chapter specific course work toward CPC with the expectation of completing certification requirements within one year of hire.
Associate will be able to work independently with assigned auditing tasks outlined and demonstrate value to the team; continue course work outside of job responsibilities toward certification.
• Own assigned tasks and deliver clear, measurable results.
• Complete assigned billing audit tasks from onset to completion.
Associate will be able to work independently and proactively engage in auditing priority workflow assignment and completion.
• Complete assigned documentation audit tasks from onset to completion.
• Take on additional, more complex responsibilities as training progresses.
Associate will be able to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate continued value to the team, as well as certification examination plan or completion.
• Independently complete assigned documentation audit along with audit QA and monthly billing audit tasks from start to finish.
• Document coursework completion with a plan for examination or completion of examination with CPC-A achievement.
Associate will take initiative to fully engage in team activities to include, but not limited to team meetings, strategy sessions, annual work plan updates, and demonstrate real value to the team as a certified coder/auditor with CPC-A certification.
• Verification of completed CPC-A completion/achievement.
COMPLIANCE:
1. Complies with and promotes adherence to applicable legal requirements, standards,
policies and procedures including but not limited those within the Compliance and
Ethics Program, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPAA.
2. Provides leadership and support for the Compliance and Ethics Program within
management area.
3. Ensures timely and accurate reporting and responses to compliance-related issues and
monitors the implementation of corrective action plans related to such issues.
4. Participates in compliance and other required training programs.
5. Provides open lines of communication regarding compliance issues within management
area and access to the Integrity Line and ensures that retaliation against staff who
report suspected incidences of non-compliance does not occur. Promptly reports
concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to supervisor, Compliance Liaison
or to the Compliance Officer via the Integrity Hotline.
6. Participates in monitoring and auditing activities and investigations, and implementing
quality assurance and performance improvement processes, as required.
7. Completes performance reviews and determines compensation and promotions based
on the accomplishment of established standards that promote adherence to compliance
and quality standards.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED completion required
• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) required
• Ability to gather and interpret clinical data
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with EMR systems (recommended)
• Experience with CPT and ICD coding or physician services (recommended)

Restrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.
Posted Salary Range
USD $45,000.00 - USD $45,000.00 /Hr.
