Special Education Teacher (SPED) - High School Math
Contract Length: 01/11/2026 through remainder of 2025–2026 School Year
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, will provide quality services to special education students in grades K–12. This role requires a strong commitment to collaborative planning and implementation of student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff. This particular opening focuses on High School Math / SPED caseloads.
Minimum Requirements
+ Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Certification: Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations
+ Experience: Minimum of one year in a teaching environment (preferred)
+ State Teacher Certification:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
+ Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
+ Standard Special Teaching (preferred)
+ AZ DOE SPED License
+ Endorsement in Math on Department of Education License (REQUIRED)
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
