The Office of Emergency Medical Services is committed to ensuring the highest standards in emergency medical care through effective oversight, support, and collaboration. This position serves as a key and collaborative member of a team that protects the public’s health and safety regarding Emergency Medical Services in Minnesota.
This position is responsible for supporting the processing, analysis and monitoring of grants. The responsibility extends to contracts, review of financial reports, and invoice review. This position makes recommendations to the grant coordinator or other administrative employee action to be taken relative to special conditions and termination of grants; performs related work as required.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Monitor grant activities ensuring that grant partners remain compliant with terms of grant agreement.
+ Act as a liaison to grant partners.
+ Assist with process/procedure improvement initiatives.
+ Assist in coordinating grant management activities.
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance will be required for team members or as requested by management to meet business needs. Please note this is a temporary full-time position with a current expected end date of June 30, 2028.
Minimum Qualifications
+ 1 year of experience in grant administration, financial monitoring, or contract management.
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of grant administration and contract development.
+ Ability to interpret and apply federal and state laws, statutes, and regulations related to grant programs.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn and utilize databases and reporting tools.
+ Communication skills sufficient to prepare reports and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Ability to evaluate information and data sufficient to develop policy and program administration recommendations, identify alternative solutions to complex issues and convey to a diverse audience.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple detailed processes, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
An associates degree or higher in grant administration, business administration, public policy administration, or a related field may substitute for 6 months of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in grant administration, business administration, public policy administration, or a related field.
+ Experience monitoring grants for compliance, including conducting site visits and financial reconciliations.
+ Familiarity with Minnesota state grant policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
+ Experience working with emergency medical services (EMS) providers or in a healthcare-related grant environment.
+ Skills in data analysis and report preparation using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
+ Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including local government entities and service providers.
