    Job Title: Fabricator TIG Welder $30

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Fabricator TIG Welder to join our team immediately. As part of a long-standing, family-owned mechanical contractor, you will be involved in the design, fabrication, and installation of HVAC and dust collection systems, as well as the production of specialty sheet metal products for commercial and industrial accounts. This role requires proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on galvanized, stainless, and aluminum materials.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform day-to-day fabrication activities with galvanized sheet metal, stainless steel, and aluminum.

    + Ensure compliance with internal fabrication processes and industry standards.

    + Maintain quality standards for assigned projects.

    + Communicate daily with the Shop Supervisor regarding schedule delays and rework.

    + Report damaged tools, materials, and equipment to the Shop Supervisor.

    + Operate shop equipment including Shear, Break, Drive Machine, Spot Welder, and Forklift.

    + Develop sheet metal projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and calculating requirements.

    + Fabricate components by cutting, forming, and fastening pieces.

    + Verify results by inspecting and testing components.

    + Keep track of time per job accurately.

    + Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures and complying with regulations.

    + Lift up to 50 pounds and read cut sheets effectively.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.

    + Ability to read blueprints or schematics and fabricate accordingly.

    + Strong mathematics skills, including the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

    + Ability to use a tape measure and operate forklifts.

    + Minimum 3 years of fabrication experience, with 5 plus years preferred.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, and control drawings.

    + Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions from management.

    + Required tools: Hand seamers, left and right aviation snips, sheet metal hammer, vice grips, screwdrivers, cordless impact drill, tape measure.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
