    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience working for a Georgia State Agency, particularly in grants administration, budget, or fiscal operations.

    + Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for grant budgeting, expenditure tracking, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

    + Experience in TeamWorks Peoplesoft Financials and Oracle Planning and Budget Cloud Service (PBCS).

    + One or more years’ experience in grant financial management, expenditure analysis, forecasting, and reconciliation utilizing Excel and financial reporting databases.

    + Experience managing federal grants, including budgeting, drawdowns, monitoring expenditures, compliance with federal and state regulations, and preparing required financial reports.

    + Experience coordinating grant and budget activities across multiple departments, programs, or external partners, including grantors and subrecipients.

    + Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools is advantageous but not required.

    Comments:

    The position will be filled as a Grant Specialist 2 or 3 depending upon the experience and education of the selected applicant. Please note: Position 00122529 (00181389) for a Budget Analyst 1, 2, or 3 is also currently open; interested candidates qualified for both opportunities should apply separately to each posting for consideration.

     

    Notes: The position is assigned to the Budget Services Department located at the State Offices South at Tift College in the City of Forsyth, GA (Monroe County).     Bachelor's degree in business/public administration, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of job-related experience in grants management, public funds administration, or accounting; or five (5) years of job-related experience in grants management, or public funds administration; or one year of experience at the lower level Grants Spec 1 (FIP050) or position equivalent.
