Job Description:
The Quality Receiving Inspector reports to the Quality Manager. Activities and responsibilities of the Quality Receiving Inspector include:
+ Perform Fit, Form, and Function inspections on incoming parts using calipers, micrometers, and thread ring gages
+ Ensure incoming parts are properly identified and match order documentation
+ Review receiving labels for accuracy prior to parts being placed in inventory locations
+ Identify incoming RMA items and alert quality department of receipt
+ Review incoming material certs and notify quality department and purchasing of any missing documentation
+ Assist the quality department and shipping with dock audits when necessary
+ Assist warehouse with cycle counts or inventory location when necessary
+ Assist with identification, containment, and segregation of nonconforming material
Professional Experience Requirements:
Education:
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
Work Experience:
+ One to two years of experience in a quality assurance role. Experience with gages, testing equipment, and inspection techniques.
Professional Skills:
+ 1+ year experience in production/warehouse/quality
+ Basic math and communication skills required
+ Basic computer skills
+ Ability to lift heavy items
+ Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and thread gages
+ Basic visual familiarity with coatings (such as Yellow Zinc, and Black Zinc Oxide) is preferred
Work Hours: 7AM-3:30PM, Monday-Friday
Hourly Pay: $19.00-26.00 (Depending upon experience)
