    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler to provide high-level clinical coordination and operational support within a specialty medical practice. This role requires direct, hands-on experience as a surgical scheduler and the ability to function in an elevated care coordination role. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing complex patient workflows across clinic and surgical settings. This position supports both clinical and operational functions and plays a critical role in ensuring seamless patient care, efficient clinic flow, and clear communication among patients, providers, and staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    Surgical Scheduling & Provider Support

     

    + Maintain and manage surgical and clinic schedules

    + Coordinate surgical cases, pre-op and post-op appointments, and related logistics

    + Prepare charts, clinical notes, and documentation to support efficient clinic and surgical workflows

    + Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve issues

     

    Care Coordination & Patient Navigation

     

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for patients throughout their care journey

    + Coordinate care plans, follow-ups, and next steps with patients and clinical staff

    + Ensure timely and accurate communication between patients, providers, and external partners

    + Provide guidance and support to patients regarding procedures, expectations, and scheduling

     

    Clinic Operations & Workflow Oversight

     

    + Oversee daily operations across the Glendale and Century City clinic locations

    + Provide day-to-day workflow oversight for the Medical Assistant (MA), including:

    + Task prioritization and coverage

    + Supporting efficient patient flow

    + Ensuring smooth clinic operations

    + Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements

     

    Communication & Coordination

     

    + Maintain clear, professional, and reliable communication with patients, physicians, and staff

    + Ensure provider and patient needs are addressed promptly and accurately

    + Act as a trusted liaison to support continuity of care and clinic efficiency

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Required: Direct, hands-on experience as a Surgery Scheduler in a medical practice or hospital setting

    + Experience in care coordination, patient navigation, or advanced clinical scheduling

    + Strong understanding of clinical workflows and surgical processes

    + Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

    + Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

    + Experience supporting physicians in a high-touch, fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience working in specialty or higher-acuity clinical settings

    + Prior responsibility overseeing or coordinating clinical support staff

    + Familiarity with EMR systems and surgical scheduling tools
