Special Education Teacher – Burbank, IL

K–2 • SPED (LBS1) • Para Support

Start Date: January • Through End of School Year

Burbank, IL is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join a supportive, student-centered team. If you love working with early learners, enjoy collaborative environments, and are passionate about student growth, this role is an excellent fit.

About the Role

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

+ Provide high-quality instruction and services to K–2 students

+ Support individualized and small-group learning in alignment with IEP goals

+ Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

+ Participate in IEP development, progress monitoring, and student planning

+ Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment

Position Details

+ Modality: SPED – LBS1

+ Grade Level: K–2

+ Caseload: TBD

+ Support: Para support in classroom

+ Contract Dates: January start through End of School Year

+ Schedule: Standard school-day hours (district schedule)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

+ Valid Illinois teaching certificate

+ LBS1 endorsement preferred

+ One year of teaching experience preferred

+ Compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements

+ CPR certification, TB/PPD, and health documentation (as applicable)

+ At least 18 years of age

+ Strong commitment to professional standards and student success
