Our client, a leading logistics and freight forwarding organization, is seeking a dedicated Air Import specialist to join their team. As an Air Import professional, you will be part of the Import Department supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Air Import

**Location:** Jamaica, NY

**Pay Range:** $20

**Shift:** 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

+ Provide high-quality customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and operational teams.

+ Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations.

+ Anticipate, identify, and resolve issues that could delay freight movement or release.

+ Coordinate with brokers, service providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment processing.

+ Handle special shipments such as ITAR, hazardous materials, and out-of-gauge freight, ensuring safety and compliance.

What's Needed?

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ Proficient computer skills and familiarity with freight forwarding or logistics operations.

+ Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

+ Knowledge of air export regulations, import/export laws, and hazardous materials handling.

+ Basic math skills for conversions and currency evaluations; some experience with ETA checks and airline coordination preferred.
