Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of our client's property management company. This role is essential in ensuring accurate accounting practices, regulatory compliance, and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in property management accounting and a proactive approach to managing financial records and processes.
Responsibilities:
• Handle all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Process and record financial transactions such as rent payments, owner distributions, and deposits.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Conduct detailed reconciliations of bank and escrow accounts, addressing and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage vendor relationships by processing invoices, issuing payments, and ensuring contract compliance.
• Monitor property budgets, analyze variances, and create cash flow forecasts.
• Maintain accurate tenant ledgers, track security deposits, and manage lease-related financial activities.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and accounting best practices.
• Prepare and file required tax documentation, including vendor 1099 forms.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax professionals, and property managers on financial matters.
Requirements • At least 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, preferably within property management or real estate.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles related to property management.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi, or AppFolio.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with full-cycle payroll processes.
• Expertise in bank reconciliations and financial reporting procedures.
