Job Title: Quality Inspector** **Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our expanding manufacturing team. As a manufacturer of military and defense products, maintaining high-quality standards is crucial. You will play a vital role in ensuring our products, ranging from filters to rocket control modules, meet rigorous quality criteria.
Responsibilities
+ Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precise specifications in form, size, orientation, and location are met.
+ Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, parts, and assemblies using tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, height gauges, pin gauges, and comparators.
+ Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections at various production stages to identify and address quality issues or deviations.
+ Document inspection results, including non-conformances and corrective actions, in accordance with established quality management systems.
+ Collaborate with production personnel, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
+ Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, conducting audits, and participating in corrective action activities.
+ Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Essential Skills
+ At least 5 years of quality inspection experience in a regulated environment.
+ Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and quality inspection tools.
+ Experience with first article, in-process, and final inspections.
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and teamwork.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Relevant certifications in quality assurance and inspection techniques (e.g., CQI, ASQ Certified Quality Inspector, J-STD 001, IPC 600, IPC 610, IPC 620).
+ Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
+ Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., AS9100) and standards such as MIL-STD.

Work Environment
This position operates within a clean production facility, working Monday through Friday on the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, and steel-toed boots are necessary.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Tustin, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
