Job Title: Production Technician** **Job Description
As a Production Technician, you will play a critical role in utilizing systems such as SAP/R3 to perform your job efficiently. Your responsibilities will include timely data entry, operating various equipment such as auto punchers and tag cutting machines, and organizing sampling materials and documentation. You will also manage the input and inventory of direct materials during production processes and participate in a variety of production activities. Your role will involve using automation and computerized systems, engaging in warehousing activities, and ensuring the quality of products. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high production standards.
Responsibilities
+ Utilize SAP/R3 for job functions.
+ Perform timely data entry.
+ Operate equipment including auto punchers, staplers, and tag cutting machines.
+ Organize sampling materials and documentation.
+ Input and inventory direct materials during production.
+ Participate in production activities such as seasonal preparation and packaging.
+ Operate automation and computerized systems (computers and iPads).
+ Engage in warehousing activities including delivery organization and quality checks.
+ Lift and manage bulk recycled storage containers (soft sides).
+ Operate hand scanner for seed processing and assist Pit Operators.
+ Work in a high throughput environment and adapt to indoor/outdoor conditions.
+ Lift up to 50 lbs. and engage in repetitive motion work.
+ Work a primarily daytime schedule with potential overtime and weekend hours.
+ Communicate effectively and work both independently and in a team setting.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with SAP/R3.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ 1+ year of education and/or experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or warehousing.
+ 1+ year of production/labor experience.
+ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access.
+ Ability to perform repetitive work and multitask.
+ Capability to work in warm and dusty environments and lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in office, laboratory, or production plant environments.
+ Knowledge of lean Six Sigma Methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement.
+ Desire to learn new processes and expand scope of work.

Work Environment
The role operates primarily in a daytime schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes are provided. The environment is dusty, loud, and dirty, requiring teamwork in close quarters. The company provides all necessary safety equipment, and there is a no-smoking policy on campus. The team size is small, working closely with 1-3 people within a larger group of 16 full-time employees.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
