Position Overview

As a **Print Press & Bindery Operator** , you’ll set up and operate digital presses, perforators, encoders, and bindery/mailing equipment. You’ll work closely with the Print Production Supervisor to master workflow, scheduling, and management processes while ensuring safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

+ Operate and set up digital presses, perforators, encoders, and bindery/mailing equipment.

+ Maintain strict safety practices and procedures.

+ Collaborate on workflow and scheduling.

+ Understand equipment specifications and product standards.

+ Prepare accurate estimates and write production job tickets.

+ Pull repeat jobs and assist in creating working copies for production personnel.

What We’re Looking For

+ Experience operating machinery and presses.

+ Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of print, packaging, and production.

+ Minimum **1 year** experience as a machine operator.

+ Strong math skills (measurements, fractions).

+ Ability to stand for up to **80% of the workday** .

+ High School Diploma required; print experience preferred but not required.

Work Environment

+ Hours: **6:00 AM – 3:30 PM** or **7:00 AM – 4:30 PM** .

+ Team: 27 employees (18 on the production floor).

+ Dress code: Closed-toe tennis shoes, t-shirt, and jeans.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
