About the role:
As a Vice President - US Regional Delivery Center Head, you will serve as the senior executive responsible for shaping and executing Cognizant’s national hub strategy and Early Careers Program across the United States. You will oversee multiple delivery hubs, scale the program to onboard approximately 2,000 hires annually, and ensure operational excellence across all centers. In addition, you will manage Americas Talent operations, integrating workforce planning, recruitment, enablement, and deployment to meet business demand and optimize the onsite talent pyramid. The Vice President – US Regional Delivery Center Head will be pivotal in driving delivery excellence, cost efficiency, and talent transformation while strengthening Cognizant’s presence in local markets.
In this role you will:
• **National Program & Hub Leadership**
o Define and execute the US hub strategy, ensuring readiness and governance across multiple locations.
o Scale the Early Careers Program to deliver ~2,000 hires annually with consistent quality and experience.
o Establish and lead cross-functional governance forums to align objectives and drive accountability across Service Lines, Markets, HR, Learning & Development, and Corporate Operations.
o Champion delivery excellence across hubs, ensuring adherence to SLAs, quality standards, and operational KPIs.
• **Americas Talent Operations**
o Own workforce planning for onsite talent and program cohorts; align hiring plans with demand signals.
o Partner with Recruitment to deliver hiring strategies that meet volume, diversity, and quality targets.
o Collaborate with Learning & Development and Service Lines to ensure training readiness and accelerate productivity.
o Drive deployment and demand fulfillment, ensuring timely placement and utilization of talent.
• **Client & Community Engagement**
o Promote Cognizant’s delivery centers internally and externally; host client visits and support strategic pursuits.
o Represent Cognizant in local business chambers, universities, and community forums to strengthen brand presence.
• **Operations & Governance**
o Own hub budgets and infrastructure planning; ensure compliance with safety, security, and business continuity standards.
o Implement technology-enabled onboarding and learning solutions to enhance engagement and efficiency.
Leadership Expectations
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, shape national strategy, and lead large-scale transformation.
• Proven track record in delivery governance, talent strategy, and operational optimization.
• Strong business acumen with expertise in cost management, pyramid optimization, and demand-supply orchestration.
• Skilled in building external relationships and positioning Cognizant as a leader in talent and delivery excellence.
What you need to have to be considered:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Human Resources, or related field.
• 25+ years of progressive leadership experience in delivery operations, talent strategy, and hub management.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business delivery, promote centers, engage communities, source talent, meet business unit needs, and manage cost and operations at scale.
• Expertise in governance, KPI management, and data-driven decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in campus recruitment, talent acquisition, operations or program/project management within a large enterprise or consulting environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex onboarding and orientation processes across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with diverse audiences.
• Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), onboarding platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
These will help you stand out
• Master’s degree (MBA) or relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
• Experience leading national campus programs and multi-hub operations.
• Track record of client engagement, talent strategy and community leadership.
• Familiarity with diversity and inclusion best practices.
