    We are recruiting for a reliable, talented Painter to aid in the internal and external maintenance and “curb appeal” of the sites in our sizeable property portfolio.

     

    Duties and responsibilities

     

    + Apply paint to surfaces including walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.

    + Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting.

    + Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.

    + Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.

    + Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary.

    + Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.

    + Apply several coats according to paint directions.

    + Tape off areas when needed.

    + Apply touchups or second coats.

    + Remove paint splatters when finished.

    + Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns.

    + Utilize spray guns for large jobs.

    + Work on ladders to reach ceilings or walls.

    Qualifications

    + Previous professional painting experience

    + Must be able to read, particularly on paint cans, and interpret instructions.

     

    Working conditions

     

    Must be able to travel via private vehicle from site to site. Work is primarily indoors, but may include outdoor work. Potential exposure to paint fumes or particulate from paint spray. Must be able to climb and perform work on a ladder.

    Physical requirements

    + Ability to perform heavy lifting / pushing / pulling (50 lbs +)

    + Must pass pre-employment fitness-for-duty physical exam

    + Bend/Stoop/Squat/Kneel/Stand/Climb; Reach above shoulder

    + Able to distinguish between colors.

    + Finger Dexterity: Handle tools, power tools and equipment.

    + May be required to wear respirator, dust mask, face covering- need to be able to perform tasks while wearing face covering.

     

    The pay range for this role is $21.00-24.00 per hour. In good faith, we believe this to be the range of possible compensation for the role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range and the range may be modified in the future.
