    Description:

    Summary

    As a daily work assignment and under the direction of Management, the Lead Food Services Associate shall organize and coordinate Dietary Department functions and activities of assigned personnel. Works with associates to ensure the customer experience within the Food Services department is positive and service focused. Ensures a safe, clean and sanatary environment in the preparation of food for patients, visitors and staff. The Lead Food Service Associate may perform a variety of functions for which they hold the minimum qualifications including: Personal Nutrition Associate, Food Services Aide, Porter or Cook, according to established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Uses safe work practices and follows State, and Federal regulatory compliance guidelines.

     

    Pay range $17.59 - $22.03

    Minimum Education, Licensure / Certification and Experience Required

    Education

    High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

     

    Licensure / Certification

     

    Must hold Serve Safe certification within 6-months of start of position. Must maintain certification.

    Special Skill / Aptitudes

    + Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of

    + hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups.

    + Excellent customer service and communication skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various

    + levels of hospital personnel, outside customers and patients.

    + Reliable, dependable self-starter, able to work within department and hospital polcies and procedures.

    + Able to take inititive and be an active participant, open to changes that will improve the organization.

    + Abliity to bend and stoop, push, pull up to 50 lbs and lift objects up to 25 lbs.

    Experience

    Three (3) years work experience in the Dietary Department in various roles or previous lead experience in a fast-paced Food Service department, preferably in Healthcare. Advanced education may be substituted for work experience.

     

    One year of direct customer service experience.

    Working Conditions:

    + Able to stand and walk for periods of time without sitting.

    + Normal hospital environemnt. May be exposed to to heat, humidity, cold or other kitchen conditions.

    + Abliity to bend and stoop, push, pull up to 50 lbs and lift objects up to 25 lbs.
