Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in completing prescription orders for long-term care (LTC) facilities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the medication dispensing process.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.

+ Apply labels to medication packaging, scan, and assemble into appropriate bins accurately and timely.

+ Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.

+ Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles, and keeping inventory neat and orderly.

+ Consistently meet the pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.

+ Work collaboratively with other supervisors and functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.

+ Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, put medications away, and replenish all stock supplies needed.

+ Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.

+ Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Pharmacy experience.

+ Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

+ Proficiency in working on multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.

+ Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in NC or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is beneficial.

+ Experience in customer service and retail pharmacy is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is professionally casual, with scrubs allowed. The position requires working Monday to Friday from 5:30 pm to 2:30 am, or until work is completed, with every other weekend assigned and the same weekday off. The interview process includes one in-person interview round.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $34.00/hr.
