    Job Summary and Responsibilities

     

    The incumbent provides, coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach in the PACU and ACU departments. The Nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team, providing leadership, personal/professional development, and conducting him/herself professionally.

     

    + Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.

    + Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.

    + Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.

    + Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.

    + Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.

    + Patient Safety: Applies safety precautions and principles to patient care, including all applicable National Patient Safety Goals, and adherence to medication management policies and procedures.

     

    The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy Hospital of Folsom and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum

    + Current California RN License

    + 1 year PACU/ACU RN experience in an acute care setting or similar experience.

    + Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.

    + AHA PALS certificate within 6 months of hire

    + Other certifications may be required.

    Preferred

    + 1 year critical care experience

    Pay Range

    $85.79 - $85.79 /hour
