    Description

    We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Watertown, Massachusetts. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or candidate early on in their career to contribute to a growing organization by ensuring accurate and efficient invoice processing and reconciliation. The role requires a detail-oriented and tech-savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to tackle challenges in accounts payable operations. Requires a minimum of 3 days onsite in Watertown, MA

    Responsibilities:

    • Review and correct mismatched invoices by reconciling them with the appropriate purchase orders.

    • Accurately enter intercompany and external accounts payable invoices into the LN Infor system, applying detailed coding as needed.

    • Match and approve invoices in the LN Infor system, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

    • Work collaboratively with subsidiaries and headquarters to handle intercompany reconciliations.

    • Clear receipts and resolve discrepancies where invoices have been previously closed.

    • Coordinate with vendors to address past due invoices and ensure timely payment.

    • Manage vendor onboarding by obtaining necessary documentation, including W-9 forms.

    • Prepare annual tax statements for vendors and assist with compliance-related tasks.

    • Clear outdated accounts payable balances from the LN system.

    • Communicate effectively with the accounting manager and other team members to support ongoing AP operations.

     

    Requirements • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable.

     

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently within deadlines.

    • Proficiency with accounting software; experience in LN Infor or Bill.com is a plus.

    • Ability to learn quickly and ask questions when encountering uncertainties.

    • Excellent organizational skills and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • Tech-savvy with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    • Previous experience in invoice coding and reconciliation is highly desirable.

    • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
