    Act as primary mentor to all new staff to provide an in person, site-based approach to teaching AHRC Suffolk

     

    policies and procedures, site-based support plans, and emergency protocols.

     

    • Takes and maintains all pertinent training required by the program site and any additional training to aid in

     

    professional development.

     

    • Provides oversight to all active plans and compiles data as needed and directed by program supervisor. May be

     

    asked to participate in team meetings, Life Plans and any other pertinent meetings pertaining to the health, safety

     

    and well-being of all people receiving services by AHRC Suffolk.

     

    • Partners with program supervisors and other interdisciplinary team members to aid in the development of

     

    solution-based approaches to enhance the lives of people receiving services by AHRC Suffolk.

     

    • Create, develop, and host interactive educational segments based upon the needs of the program and

     

    participants.

     

    • Maintain advanced working knowledge of relevant applications, services, technologies, team-based productivity

     

    tools and virtual meeting platforms.

     

    • Provide off-site assistance to program participants and their advocates regarding technology obstacles, guidance,

     

    and support.

     

    • Complete electronic health records (EHR) including attendance and billing daily along with documentation

     

    regarding goals, skills, and assessments.

     

    • Support organizational development by working collaboratively with teams to assess knowledge, skill and ability

     

    gaps and needs within the program.

     

    • Work closely with the team to strategize new approaches, processes, and activities to enhance the offerings

     

    provided by the Virtual Day Program.

    Requirements

    A High School Diploma or GED

    • 3 years’ experience working in an OPWDD setting.

    • Advanced knowledge of computer technology with a focus on proficient use of virtual meeting platforms.

    • Outgoing, highly communicative demeanor to engage virtual classrooms autonomously.
