Compensation: $160000 annually
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Monday to Friday - minimum 40 hours per week. Will be on-call 24/7
Travel: will be required – 50% in yard and 50% on deployment sites
System One is hiring an experienced Installation & Commissioning Supervisor for a direct hire position in Midland/Odessa, TX area. This position is responsible for overseeing daily field construction activities related to power generation projects and deployments on fraction sites. This position ensures that all site construction work, including equipment installation and commissioning, is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. The Installation and Commissioning Supervisor will coordinate and lead field crews, manage subcontractors, and support the Operations Manager to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and coordinate all site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and quality standards.
+ Lead field crews and subcontractors in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of power generation packages and related equipment.
+ Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements on all construction activities.
+ Manage daily work schedules, site logistics, and resource allocation to optimize productivity and meet project milestones.
+ Oversee site preparation, foundation work, equipment setting, piping, electrical connections, and startup activities.
+ Monitor and report on construction progress, site safety, quality control, and project KPIs to the Operations Manager and key stakeholders.
+ Conduct regular site inspections, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to resolve construction challenges.
+ Review construction drawings, specifications, and change orders, ensuring work is performed according to approved documents.
+ Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to address technical queries, material deliveries, and site coordination.
+ Ensure field personnel are properly trained, qualified, and equipped for their roles.
+ Support budget management by monitoring construction costs, controlling expenditures, and assisting with planning.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of construction activities, including daily reports, safety records, equipment logs, and inspection results.
+ Continually analyze operational processes and make suggestions for improvements or optimization.
+ Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of construction personnel, in collaboration with Human Resources.
+ Oversee time and attendance records for field staff, including approval of timecards and time off requests.
+ Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending required training and meetings and ensuring team compliance.
+ Perform other construction-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
+ Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience in constructions, field operations, maintenance, or supervision within the gas compression, power generation, or heavy equipment industry.
+ Familiarity with mobile power generation equipment and natural gas engines or turbines, preferred.
+ Proven ability to lead and develop field teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
+ Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage team members.
+ Experience with CMMS and other operational management systems.
+ Commitment to safety and quality standards.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization and adapt to changing priorities.
+ Responsive, action oriented
