    Job Description

    LRS Consulting Services is seeking an Analytics Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Fort Worth, TX.

     

    The Analytics Engineer designs, builds, and supports high-quality data products including data pipelines, data models, and analytics dashboards. This role focuses on delivering reliable, well-structured, and cost-effective data solutions that support enterprise reporting and decision-making.

     

    The Analytics Engineer works with modern data and analytics tools and applies sound data architecture principles, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to support the ongoing development and improvement of analytics and data products.

     

    The ideal candidate is outcome-focused, curious, and collaborative, with the ability to work across multiple initiatives and adapt as priorities evolve.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities

     

    + Design, build, and support high-quality data products

    + Build and support data warehouses and analytics data models

    + Design and develop data pipelines, integrations, and data flows

    + Build and maintain semantic models used for reporting and analytics

    + Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and visualizations

    + Ensure data reliability, performance, and cost efficiency

    + Implement data quality checks and validation processes

    + Maintain clear and thorough documentation for data pipelines, models, and analytics products

    + Ensure alignment with Data Governance standards and outcomes

    + Collaborate with Data Services leadership to help prioritize the analytics roadmap

    + Support adoption of new data technologies and tools

    + Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices

    Required Qualifications

    + 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence roles

    + Strong experience with Power BI and data visualization, including building and modifying dashboards

    + Experience developing and maintaining semantic models, including row-level security

    + Experience building or supporting data warehouses and analytics data models

    + Strong SQL skills, with experience using T-SQL or similar dialects

    + Experience designing and supporting data pipelines and integrations

    + Experience working in a Microsoft-based data environment (Azure, SQL Server, ADF, or similar); Microsoft Fabric experience is a plus but not required

    + Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, including star schema and normalization

    + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

    + Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and adapt to changing priorities

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience

    + Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Purview

    + Familiarity with Python and/or Scala for data engineering

    + Experience with analytics automation tools such as Alteryx

    + Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments

    + Familiarity with source control tools such as Git

    + Relevant data or analytics certifications

    Education

    + BA/BS preferred; MBA or MS a plus

    + Certifications related to data or analytics engineering (e.g., Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric) preferred

    + Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification may be required within 90 days if not already achieved
