UPMC Supply Chain is looking for a full-time Distribution Specialist to support our Pharmacy Distribution Center located in the South Side of Pittsburgh. This position works daylight Monday-Friday (7am - 3pm).
Purpose:
Manage all tasks associated with the movement of supplies and equipment throughout the UPMC Health System facilities, vendors, and other outside parties. Provide verification of orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and the routing of all inbound and outbound materials and/or equipment. Maintain accurate inventory levels of all stores items located in the Central Distribution Center (CDC) as well as local stocking locations within specified departments.
Responsibilities:
* Operate heavy lift equipment at heights above 25 feet.
* Direct use of a laptop computer operating Oracle/JIRA systems.
* Ensuring quality at the end line staging area.
* Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of all outbound freight.
* Demonstrate working knowledge of the department's inventory and receiving modules.
* Load and unload delivery vehicles.
* Fill stores requisitions, stock shelves, and participates in physical inventories.
* Handle all communications in a timely and professional manner.
* Process the general shipping of all outbound freight.
* Maintain a professional attitude during all interactions with personnel, and visitors.
* Ensure all distribution centers equipment is properly maintained.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Work to conform to all policies per warehouse guidelines and SOP's.
* Ensures to conform to the departmental attendance policy established November 17, 2009 by UPMC Supply Chain Management.
* Filling pharmacy requisitions following DSCSA ensuring proper technique is utilized in packaging, shipping and quarantining products (segregating chemo, cold chain, hazardous and controlled products) while maintaining JIRA ticket errors < 18% yearly.
* Contributes towards achieving overall warehouse productivity of 28 Lines Per Hour.
* Participates actively in maintaining cleanliness standards in the warehouse.
* Ensures proper technique is utilized in repackaging and/or staging of product for delivery to customers to ensure minimal product loss and damage.
* Ensures customer service levels are met by maintaining the scheduled delivery times at respective UPMC facilities.
* Ensures customer service levels are met by delivering product damage free. Ensure returned empty totes and coolers are inspected for misplaced product and then placed into coordinating locations for reuse.
* All assigned receipts are completed each day, contributing to a receiving department goal of zero overtime.
* Maintain compliance with DEA, FDA, DOH, OSHA and DSCSA regulations as well as UPMC HR guidelines and policies.
* Maintain Quality Control (QC) policies and procedures and develop for future implementation.
* Train staff in Q.C. policies and procedures.
* Assist team leads with first in first out (FIFO) procedures regarding inventory.
* Assist eMRx and CPak departments as a backup.
* Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* High school diploma or equivalent and one year warehousing experience.
* Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
* Ability to handle heavy material using manual and mechanized material handling equipment.
* Ability to lift heavy objects along with no work limitations.
* Good communication skills are required.
* May in the course of their duties have access to medications through distributions of supplies and parental solutions in secured areas. Their role is limited to the distribution and restocking of these supplies in the secured locations.
