    Description

    Job Summary: As a Ground Person Level 2 you will perform duties supporting vegetation management and tree trimming related operations. Work may be performed within the minimum approach distance of energized electrical lines.

    Responsibilities and Requirements:

    • Work under supervision to safely trim trees, chip brush, and move vegetative material

    • Must be able to work within the minimum approach distance to energized power lines

    • Assist crew members with gear setup and maintenance

    • Assist climbers with gear preparation and inspection, setup, and aerial work-related tasks

    • Safely and efficiently operate light equipment such as chainsaws, weed eaters, pole trimmers, and blowers

    . • Safely and efficiently operate chippers, vehicles, and aerial lifts/bucket trucks from the ground

    • Maintain basic knowledge of tree workers aerial climbing techniques and activities

    • Must be able to perform all aspects of trailer hauling and towing

    • Maintain and implement safe work practices in accordance with industry standards or policies

    • Must be able to regularly lift 50lbs or more

    • Must be able to work outdoors, year-round in varying environments

    • Must be able to work in, around and amongst poisonous plants and noxious vegetation

    • Other duties as assigned
