Position Summary
The Onboarding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the onboarding experience for both employees and third-party independent contractors. This role owns the pre-hire onboarding process for W-2 and 1099 workers, as well as post-hire onboarding support, ensuring a consistent, compliant, and efficient experience at scale.
Key Responsibilities
+ Oversee the day-to-day execution of employee and independent contractor onboarding activities, ensuring timely completion and a consistent onboarding experience.
+ Supervise, coach, and manage onboarding team members, including performance feedback and corrective action when necessary.
+ Execute established onboarding workflows and communication campaigns to support new hires and contractors throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
+ Partner with hiring managers to confirm operational readiness prior to new hire start dates.
+ Track onboarding metrics, identify trends or issues, and escalate concerns to leadership as appropriate.
+ Support orientation sessions by ensuring materials, systems access, and logistics are prepared and delivered accurately.
+ Collaborate closely with HR, IT, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development teams to resolve onboarding issues and ensure smooth handoffs.
+ Maintain and audit onboarding documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with approved standards.
Required Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience
+ 5+ years of experience in employee onboarding within HR or Talent Acquisition, preferably in an enterprise or high-volume environment.
+ Experience managing complex operational workflows involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
+ High-volume onboarding or processing experience.
Technical Skills
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Prior people leadership or supervisory experience.
+ Experience using UKG or similar HRIS platforms.
+ Experience in the home improvement or field-based services industry.
Work Environment & Schedule
+ Travel: None required.
+ Work Location: Stationary.
+ Overtime: Additional or non-standard hours may be required (exempt role).
Physical Requirements
This role is primarily sedentary and requires extended periods of sitting, typing, and verbal communication. Occasional standing or walking may be required. No heavy lifting or exposure to hazardous conditions is expected.
