    The Role

    The Senior Director, LE Pipeline Activation leads Lumen’s Enterprise Deal Growth and Execution organization, a cross functional team responsible for improving how the company competes, wins, and delivers value in its largest enterprise pursuits. This leader sets strategic direction, builds team capability, and drives execution excellence across a high performing organization of commercial and strategic talent.

     

    EDGE connects Sales, Product, Operations, and Connected Ecosystem partners to deliver measurable growth and transformation outcomes for enterprise customers. The Senior Director ensures the team operates with precision, urgency, and collaboration to turn opportunity into performance.

     

    The main objective is to lead and scale a world-class team that drives commercial clarity, cross functional alignment, and execution discipline across the enterprise business. The Senior Director owns the leadership system that increases win rates, improves deal quality, and positions Lumen as a trusted transformation partner.

     

    The Main Responsibilities

    Leadership and Team Development

    + Lead a high performing team of deal strategists, commercial leads, and pursuit advisors supporting Lumen’s most strategic opportunities.

    + Create a culture of clarity, speed, and accountability that rewards performance and measurable results.

    + Coach and develop team members through structured feedback, ongoing learning, ad professional growth planning.

    + Promote collaboration and shared ownership across Sales, Product, Operations, and Ecosystem functions.

    Strategic Direction and Vision

    + Define the EDGE charter, priorities, and success measures that align with the enterprise growth strategy.

    + Translate business objectives into clear execution plans that raise deal quality and accelerate pursuit velocity.

    + Balance near term performance delivery with building long term organizational capability.

    Pursuit Excellence and Commercial Discipline

    + Establish consistent standards for pursuit strategy, commercial positioning, and executive engagement.

    + Review key pursuits for alignment between customer outcomes, delivery feasibility, and financial soundness.

    + Simplify complexity through frameworks that enable faster and smarter deal decisions.

    Cross Functional Leadership

    + Build alignment across Sales, Product, Operations, and Ecosystem organizations.

    + Ensure EDGE functions as the connective tissue translating strategic intent into execution at the field level.

    + Represent enterprise growth strategy in senior leadership forums and influence decision making at scale.

    Connected Ecosystem Activation

    + Integrate partners, alliances, and new routes to market into major pursuits to expand platform reach and customer relevance.

    + Develop strong relationships with partner leadership to drive co-created solutions and shared growth outcomes.

    Transport to Digital Transformation Playbook

    + Own the development of frameworks, plays, and assets that enable the field to position Lumen’s evolution from connectivity to digital transformation.

    + Ensure material is field-ready, customer-oriented, and outcome-based.

    AI and Agentic Workflow Leadership

    + Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and agentic tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and decision quality.

    + Build team fluency in digital tools, intelligent workflows, and data driven execution.

    + Partner with commercial excellence and technology teams to identify and scale innovations that drive measurable productivity gains.

    What We Look For in a Candidate

    + 12+ years of experience in enterprise sales strategy, commercial execution, or transformation leadership roles

    + Proven success leading and developing high performing teams that deliver measurable results

    + Strong leadership presence with the ability to align and influence across executive and functional boundaries

    + Deep commercial and financial acumen with a disciplined approach to growth

    + Demonstrated experience applying AI and automation in enterprise sales or operational environments

    + Operates with clarity, composure, and precision in high impact situations

    Compensation

    This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

     

    Location Based Pay Ranges

    $182,333 - $303,891 in these states: NC
