GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Provides management and supervision related to direct report oversight of all plant staff and provides guidance in all aspects of daily plant operations. Ensures compliance with all safety, NERC and FERC related activities. Oversees the budgeting process and procurement of equipment, material, and services required for the operation and maintenance of the plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provides management and supervision related to direct report oversight of Assistant Plant Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Office Manager. Provides guidance, and training in all aspects of daily plant operations.
+ Ensures compliance with Cooperative Safety standards and approved practices for the protection of all personnel. Ensures the safe isolation/lock-out and restoration of site equipment.
+ Ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of remotely located hydroelectric turbine and combustion turbine equipment ensuring adherence to all unit/equipment operating parameters and start-up and shut down procedures/practices.
+ Analyzes operations and maintenance results, all time reports, outage reports, job orders and other reports which reflect time spent, work accomplished, and material and equipment used. Recommends adjustments for improved safety, reliability, and efficiency.
+ Manages the adherence to all applicable internal policies and procedures regarding NERC and FERC compliance and provides training and direction to plant staff to ensure compliance.
+ Oversees the budgeting process and procurement of equipment, material, and services required for the operation and maintenance of the plant. Prepares and issues purchase orders and approves invoices in accordance with policy.
+ Communicates plant availability to AECC Power Market Operators and schedules generation operations as necessary.
+ Oversees the planned maintenance program utilizing the Enterprise Asset Management System for all plant equipment.
+ Utilizing the Enterprise Asset Management System, oversees the management of inventory of all spare parts and supplies for the plant.
+ Supervises staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to training employees and assisting in interviewing process; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
+ Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.
+ The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
+ Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
+ Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field, plus at least 8 years total related experience including 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license with safe driving record.

Arkansas Boiler Operators License

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
+ In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
+ Must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of utility power plant operation and maintenance including principles of combustion, heat transfer, thermodynamics, mechanics, fluid mechanics, electrical theory, water treatment.
+ Must have a clear understanding of the fundamental of accounting, management, scheduling and mathematics.
+ Must be able to work additional hours when necessary and report to work when needed during non-working periods.
+ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
