This role is a steppingstone to other careers within Environmental Services (Team Lead, Supervisor and Manager) and departments within Cleveland Clinic.

Shift Schedules:

We offer flexible scheduling, including:

+ **Days:** 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

+ **Afternoons/Evenings:** 2:00 PM-10:30 PM

+ **Evenings/Nights:** 3:00 PM-11:30 PM

+ **Late Evenings:** 4:00 PM-12:30 AM

• **Weekend Availability:**

+ Must be able to work **every other weekend** (Saturday and Sunday).

Responsibilities:

+ Perform daily cleaning of assigned areas, including but not limited to; dust mopping, mopping/scrubbing, vacuuming, gum removal, and buffing hard floor surfaces using various equipment.

+ Complete waste stream removal, including the same transport and disposal of general waste, recycling, and infectious waste.

+ Adhere to policies and procedures on patient isolation and all Environmental Services technical and procedural standard operating procedures.

+ Follow and comply with hospital-wide and departmental safety requirements.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

+ High School Diploma/General Education Development (GED) preferred.

+ None required.

Complexity of Work:

+ Requires attention to detail, ability to follow directions and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

+ Ability to learn and follow departmental policies and procedures, various cleaning and patient hospitality techniques, proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals.

+ Ability to communicate in a clear, courteous and caring manner.

+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced cleaning environment.

+ Ability to be flexible with work assignments.

+ None required.

Physical Requirements:

+ Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching.

+ Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces.

+ Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.

+ Light work - Exerting 11 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

+ Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required,

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $16.50

Maximum hourly: $20.25
