    Job Title: Project Engineer

    Job Description

    The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Construction Project Manager and other project leaders with day-to-day management of various construction and engineering projects. This role involves overseeing project safety, quality, scheduling, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and documentation. The position will work on a diverse array of projects across multiple industries including aviation, commercial building, electrical transmission & distribution, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation, and water.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in managing project safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.

    + Oversee contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement processes.

    + Manage proposals, estimates, documentation, and project turnover.

    + Interface with clients and handle field-based activities required for project execution.

    + Adhere to safety programs and collaborate to manage the Safety & Health performance of project team members.

    + Collaborate with the Project Management team to build client relationships.

    + Assist in the development of internal and external project risk reviews.

    + Coordinate and implement the Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Safety & Health Plan, Subcontracting Plan, Project Staffing Plan, and Procurement Plan.

    + Contribute to contract negotiations, approvals, and executions.

    + Develop project plans for site mobilization and demobilization.

    + Secure necessary project permits.

    + Support development of bidder registration and pre-qualification.

    + Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFP) and support the bid and selection process.

    + Execute downstream contract administration including RFIs, submittals, and change management.

    + Support project cost reporting, scheduling, and field progress tracking.

    + Prepare and report project status, risks, schedules, costs, and cash flows.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working in a professional engineering office and field assignments, primarily local to STL but also onsite at project sites. Projects span various industries, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
