    SMT Operator – Day Shift (Sarasota, FL)

     

    Pay: $25–$32 per hour

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

     

    The SMT Operator: is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to produce high‑quality printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and consistent adherence to ESD, safety, and IPC quality standards. The SMT Operator plays a key role in ensuring efficient production flow and delivering reliable, high‑accuracy electronic assemblies.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Operate SMT production equipment, including pick‑and‑place machines, reflow ovens, and screen printers, according to established work instructions.

    + Troubleshoot and correct machine errors, component misplacements, and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production targets.

    + Inspect solder paste application, component placement accuracy, and reflow profiles to verify compliance with quality specifications.

    + Perform first‑article inspections and ensure assemblies meet IPC‑A‑610 acceptance standards.

    + Follow strict ESD procedures, maintain clean work areas, and support safety and quality initiatives throughout the production environment.

    This is a Contract position based out of Sarasota, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
