    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to manage and transport railroad parts within a well-lit, clean distribution center. This role involves utilizing a sit-down propane forklift to pick and load orders both inside and outside the facility, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate sit-down propane forklift to pick and transport railroad parts.

    + Load and unload trucks with customer orders.

    + Utilize an iPad to pick specific customer orders and build out pallets accurately.

    + Review all material documents to ensure order accuracy and communicate any discrepancies.

    + Work outside in all weather conditions to pick and load orders.

    + Load trucks in an efficient manner, ensuring all parts are securely strapped down.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.

    + Experience in picking customer orders using an iPad.

    + Ability to build pallets and load trucks efficiently.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience operating a forklift outside.

    + Ability to work in various weather conditions.

    The work environment is a well-lit, clean distribution center. The facility contains various racks with railroad parts, and work will be conducted both within the warehouse and in the outdoor yard, accommodating a diverse range of tasks and ensuring a dynamic workday.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elwood, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
