    Forklift Operator – Stand-Up Forklift (2nd Shift)

    **Location:** Eldridge, IA

    **Pay:** $17.00–$17.50/hr

    Shift:

    + **Regular Shift:** 2nd shift – _3:00 PM–11:30 PM_

    + **Training Shift:** 1st shift – _7:00 AM–3:30 PM_

    About the Role

    A large, climate-controlled distribution center in Eldridge is seeking a motivated Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations. This role focuses on building customized pallets of canned and dry goods for shipment to grocery stores and retail locations.

     

    You will use a stand-up forklift and voice-directed headset system to pick, pack, and assemble pallets based on client orders in a fast-paced production environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Operate a **stand-up forklift** throughout the shift.

    + Pick, pack, and build pallets according to client order specifications.

    + Navigate the warehouse using a headset that provides pick instructions and locations.

    + Use an RF scanner/computer system mounted on the forklift.

    + Move between warehouse locations efficiently while maintaining accuracy and speed.

    Qualifications

    + Ability to stand **8–10 hours** per shift.

    + Ability to lift **up to 50 lbs repetitively** .

    + **6+ months of forklift experience**

    + _OR_ 1+ year of experience in a **fast-paced warehouse** environment.

    + Willingness to complete **extensive forklift training** on Day 1.

    A Typical Day Includes

    + Driving a stand-up forklift to pick and pack products.

    + Using an RF unit to receive instructions and confirm picks.

    + Building customized pallets for shipment to various clients.

    1st Day Expectations

    + Attend detailed forklift and warehouse safety training.

    + Receive instruction on equipment, headset system, and warehouse flow.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
