    The Supply Tech Lead is responsible for directing and coordinating all GFP lifecycle activities within a program or facility, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and security requirements. The role combines hands-on property accountability with lead-level guidance for a team of supply technicians. The incumbent drives efficient GFP receipt, storage, issue, turnover, and disposal while maintaining accurate property records, safeguarding sensitive assets, and supporting program milestones.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead GFP program operations across one or more sites, including receipt, storage, issue, return, loan, transfer, and disposal of Government Furnished Property.

    + Ensure accurate GFP accountability in property management systems (e.g., DOD SARRs/DBM, ERP modules, or agency-specific property systems); perform regular reconciliations and audits.

    + Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for GFP handling, labeling, tagging, barcoding, spatial layout, and cycle counting.

    + Manage GFP lifecycle events: verification of property disposition actions, end-of-life processing, and documentation for transfers between units, contractors, or facilities.

    + Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., DoD 5105 series, DoD 4160.21, FAR/DFARS where applicable, and agency security policies).

    + Lead, coach, and develop a team of GFP specialists and supply technicians; assign tasks, monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.

    + Collaborate with program management, finance, security, and audits to support readiness reviews, property inventories, and corrective action plans.

    + Maintain property controls to prevent loss, damage, or misappropriation; implement loss prevention and remediation actions.

    + Support asset visibility through regular data integrity checks, cycle counts, and discrepancy investigations; coordinate with internal and external auditors.

    + Coordinate complex GFP movements (inter- and intra-site transfers, vendor loans, and contractor-owned property) with proper documentation and approvals.

    + Oversee GFP-related safety and environmental compliance (e.g., safe handling of hazardous GFP, storage requirements, and housekeeping).

    + Assist in budget forecasting for GFP-related needs (storage, handling equipment, IT systems) and optimize inventory levels.

    + Prepare and present reports, metrics, and briefings on GFP status, risk, and improvement opportunities to leadership.

    + Drive continuous improvement initiatives in GFP processes, implementing Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies where appropriate.

    + Ensure data privacy and security for sensitive property; enforce access controls and segregation of duties.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical military logistics procedures.

    + Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience with logistics STAMIS, instruction, teaching, mentoring experience.

    + Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

    + Must have a valid driver’s license.

    + Must be able to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation results, obtain and maintain a CAC.

    + Must have a minimum of a high School Diploma / GED.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Certification in logistics STAMIS (i.e. SARSS, SAMS-E, GCSS-A).

    + Forklift/MHE operation certification (OF 346) preferred.

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    + Include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

    + Periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
